Job Description:

GoodRep Media is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Content Writer with a strong focus on SEO to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will craft compelling, optimized content that drives organic traffic and engages our clients’ target audiences. Reporting directly to the Director of GoodRep Media, the Content Writer will play a crucial role in developing content strategies that enhance online visibility and support marketing objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality, SEO-friendly content for websites, blogs, social media, and other digital platforms.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research to inform content creation and optimize existing content.
  • Collaborate with the SEO Specialist and marketing team to develop content strategies that align with client goals.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to brand voice and guidelines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in SEO and content marketing.
  • Utilize analytics tools to measure content performance and make data-driven improvements.
  • Coordinate with designers and developers to ensure content is effectively integrated into websites and campaigns.
  • Manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery of all content projects.

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong command of English grammar and style.
  • In-depth understanding of SEO principles and how to implement them in content creation.
  • Proficiency with keyword research tools such as Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
  • Ability to write engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences across various industries.
  • Strong research skills to produce accurate and insightful content.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
  • Familiarity with content management systems like WordPress; experience with Divi is a plus.
  • Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field—or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role with a portfolio showcasing SEO-focused content.
  • Demonstrated success in improving organic search rankings and driving traffic through content.
  • Experience in writing for various formats, including long-form articles, web copy, and social media posts.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Familiarity with HTML and basic understanding of website architecture.
  • Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics to monitor content performance.
  • Knowledge of content marketing strategies and how they integrate with overall marketing plans.
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and how content impacts user engagement.
